Activate this function by clicking the\u00a0<em>Auto-Delete Spam<\/em>\u00a0button under the\u00a0<em>Filters<\/em>\u00a0heading.<\/p>\n<p>WARNING &#8211; Email tagged as spam will be deleted completely from the server.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-306\" alt=\"auto-delete\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.globalit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/auto-delete.jpg\" width=\"620\" height=\"563\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you click\u00a0<em>Configure SpamAssassin<\/em>, you can add email addresses that should be filtered automatically by typing the address into the \u201cblacklist_from\u201d box. A whitelist can be created in the same way at the bottom of the page. It is also possible to specify scores that SpamAssassin should use for each particular test.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><b>5.\u00a0 <\/b><b>Set Required Spam Score\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>SpamAssassin examines every email message for spam characteristics, then assigns it an overall score. Enter the score required for a message to be considered spam.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-308\" alt=\"changing_score\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.globalit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/changing_score.jpg\" width=\"620\" \/><\/p>\n<p>5 is the default setting, this is not very aggressive.<br \/>\n1 is very aggressive and in most cases, this setting is never used.<\/p>\n<p>We recommend, adjusting 1 point setting each day until you achieve the desired result.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<h2><b>6.\u00a0 <\/b><b>Configuration SpamAssassin\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/b><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<p>This feature allows you to add emails and\/or domains to blacklist (spam, blocked) or whitelist (clean, allowed through).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft  wp-image-310\" alt=\"configure_spamassasin\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.globalit.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/configure_spamassasin.jpg\" width=\"620\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Note: You can always email <a href=\"mailto:support@globalit.com\">support@globalit.com<\/a> for assistance with black or white listing of emails and IP addresses.<\/p>\n<div>\n<h3>6.1 Add Addresses to the Blacklist<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>Enter addresses whose email is often allowed past the spam filter, but from whom you do not wish to receive email.<\/p>\n<p>You may use\u00a0<code>*<\/code>\u00a0as a wildcard for multiple characters, or\u00a0<code>?<\/code>\u00a0as a single-character wildcard.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><code>user@example.com<\/code>\u00a0\u2014 Blacklists a single email address.<\/li>\n<li><code>*@example.com<\/code>\u00a0\u2014 Blacklists all the addresses at\u00a0<code>example.com<\/code>.<\/li>\n<li><code>?ser@example.com<\/code>\u00a0\u2014 For example,\u00a0<code>User@example.com<\/code>\u00a0would be blacklisted, but\u00a0<code>AUser@example.com<\/code>\u00a0would not be blacklisted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By default, 5 text boxes appear, allowing you to add 5 addresses.
